A Capital Campaign: Restoration and Renovation

In February 2026, the Matecumbe Methodist Church began a major undertaking… a capital campaign to do some major repair work.
“Our church started in 1894. So many generations have passed through these doors. So many prayers have been spoken here. So many baptisms, weddings, funerals, and…moments of reflection…have happened within these walls.
We didn’t build this place. We inherited it. And now, for a short season in its long life, we are its caretakers.
We are formally launching our Restoration and Renewal Campaign — a four-year effort with a total goal of $200,000.
We are behind on maintaining the church. The roof, some electrical work, AC units, the parsonage, and all the other essential repairs. None of it is glamorous……but skipping maintenance today almost always costs more tomorrow. So there are no shiny new bells and whistles for us in this campaign…but the heart of it is simple: we’re caring for the home that cares for us.”

Pledge Form: We have asked each member of the church to fill out a pledge form to confirm what you and your family are able to contribute to the campaign over the next four years. This information will help the church plan the needed repairs as funding is made available. Thank you in advance for each and every gift, large or small. Click Here to view pledge.
